If I had a nickel for every time throughout the day I looked over at the elliptical machines in my gym and saw someone staring blankly ahead at the TV monitor mindlessly going through their workout, I would quickly become a very, very, affluent personal trainer.  Now, I probably need to back up a minute and clarify, this is not just an elliptical problem.  I’m also not saying there’s not a time or place for every type of movement (any movement is better than no movement!). The problem with what most people are doing on the elliptical is that they’re just “phoning it in.” Add to that what happens after this workout has occurred, and you’ve started creating what can possibly turn into a major problem.

I don't know about you, but with my busy life there are two things that no matter how hard I try still tend to sneak up on me: lack of time for a healthy breakfast in the morning and veggies slowly wilting in my refrigerator.  No more. My Favorite Things

My Favorite Things

This past year after prompting from some of my clients I rewrote the lyrics of “My Favorite Things” from The Sound of Music.  These are all things I absolutely love, and to be quite honest, I talk about (probably too) often.  All the mats in my PiYo classes are turning into Manduka mats, several of my clients and students are wearing Victoria’s Secret Sports bras (clip and zip!), and I’m convincing everyone I know to try my favorite Yogi Teas (Soothing Caramel Bedtime and Vanilla Spice Perfect Energy) and Eat Cleaner produce wash!
