Strawberry Season

Strawberry season is upon us.  YAY!!! Maybe it stems back from my childhood when we had strawberries and raspberries planted in our side garden, (or maybe it’s just because they’re freaking delicious!) but strawberry season is one of my favorite seasons of the year.  Fresh, local strawberries are always the best.  Not only because it’s earth happy, but they really do taste better when they’re grown in your vicinity and not from halfway around the world.

Cinco de Mayo

I’ll admit, I love this holiday.  Why?  Because I love any and every excuse to eat Mexican food! (Seriously.  I love it, and could eat it all the time.) Yeah, I know it may very well be more of an American holiday than a Mexican one, but that’s not going to stop me from noshing on some fajitas and splurging with a little extra guacamole. However with all the delicious Mexican options it’s easy to go overboard with the chips, dips, and margaritas.

Live a Little

I write to you tonight with a (very) full tummy.

“Say what?!?  But I thought you were going to help me be lean, and thin, and healthy, and… “

…starving?  Missing out on life?  Not a chance.  First of all, I’m not a perfect eater.  If you’re looking for that person, you should go elsewhere.  I love all kinds of food and I love eating food.  I look forward to wine and cheese nights with the girls, and there is not much you could do to make me miss out on some Belgian dark chocolate.  That being said, it’s all about moderation; in life, and on the road.
