The weather is warming up, and all I can think about right now is fresh veggies!  I love veggies all year round, don’t get me wrong.  But while in the cooler months I steam, roast, and add veggies to soups and stews when it gets warmer I just want them fresh!  There’s something about that cool, crisp taste of fresh fruits and veggies that I just can’t get enough of.

Try Something New

Today, the weirdest thing happened.  I woke up early, looked at my workout calendar and realized it was a rest day.  So what did I do?  Pulled on my itty-bitty shorts (that I have no use for… I mean, TurboKick in shorts?  Bad idea… bad idea.), laced up my shoes, grabbed my iPod and went for a run.

What?!?!  But Erin, you hate running.  Like… hate running.  A lot.

Foodover

You know the feeling.  The knot in your stomach, the overwhelming nausea mixed with heat flashes, the realization that you aren't as young as you used to be, and the promise to never do it again.  Of course, you don't realize it while it's happening; it feels so good to indulge.  But you pay for it later. 

What is this horror I speak of?  None other than the dreaded "foodover".

Life Change

Life Change

Over this past year, my life has changed.  A lot.  Like… a lot, a lot.

And to be completely honest, I was having a hard time trying to figure out how this blog fit into this new life that had snuck up on and seduced me. ... No longer was I living my life day to day out of a suitcase.  No longer were 90% of my meals created out of ingredients that could be kept in a mini-fridge, cooked in a hotel microwave, and carried from hotel to hotel in a purse-sized cooler.  No longer did I have to wear the same 3 pairs of shoes!
