I've been MIA... and I'm Sorry

Rob and I (and my future niece!) doing a walk around of our reception venue. All. The. Plans.

I know, I know... I've been a bit M.I.A. this year and I haven't really kept up with blogging or adding new amazing recipes since December <insert gulity embarassed face here>.  But I have a good excuse, I promise!!! I'm getting married on May 27th to this amazing guy (and I get that crazy girl photo-bombing us as a niece... BONUS!).

We've been keeping busy getting ready to host family from literally all over the WORLD in our town, and in our home.  So as the wedding gets closer, here are my thoughts of the moment:

1. If the little details don't come together, they don't come together.  It's going to be fine.

2. It's all little details, really.  At the end of the day, we're going to be just as married <3 <3 <3

3. It's amazing to me how people (women especially) expect a bride to lose weight for her wedding (more on this in the future).  I'm pretty sure her fiance loves her the way she is. Women, we must start supporting one another and allowing ourselves to LOVE ourselves the way we are... work in progress and all.

4. Wallpaper removal may be the death of me.

Anyway, I hate that I've left you hanging for three whole months, so I thought I'd send a little love your way with a few of my new favorite recipes, as well as a few of the things I'm in love with right now.
I'll be back to "normal" in June, but until then I'm going to do my best to stay balanced and in the FRICKin Good Life (cheesy, right? Always. xo)

Pesto Lovers Unite!!!

Yes, I've been busy the last 3 months, but that doesn't mean I haven't been in the kitchen whipping up amazing dishes and putting healthy tweaks on classic favorites.  What it DOES mean is that I have been even more limited on time, which means Fast is CRUCIAL.  Insert my recalled love of pesto. Fast and easy, it's a condiment that goes with just about anything!  Check out my THREE favorite pesto recipes!

Charity Miles: Make an impact while you move

Have you heard about Charity Miles? It's an app that allows you to earn money for the charity of your choice while you walk, run. or bike!  AKA... it's an app that's kind of awesome.  My family has been using it for over a year now, and now it's time to extend this to my FITNESS family as well. All you have to do is start the app when you start your workout. Easy peasy.
Oh, and while you're at it, join The FRICKin Good Life team so we can see how much of a difference we can make over the year!

What's in my Ears...

The_Chalene_Show.jpg

If you didn't know before, I LOVE podcasts. Audio books too, but especially podcasts. Podcasts are a great way to learn on the go, and right now I'm in LOVE with the Declutter series that Chalene recently did on her podcast. It may seem strange, but I've seen a HUGE coloration with people decluttering, weight loss, and overall healthy lives. It's a four part series, but I highly recommend you start with Part 1.  Enjoy!
